Ceske Budejovice [CZ] - Two new articulated trolleybuses tendered
J. Lehmann - 25.05.15
On 8 April 2015, the local operator DPMCB published a tender for two new articulated trolleybuses, which are to be delivered between 1 September and 15 December 2015.
These new units are expected to replace the older Skoda 15Tr articulated trolleys, of which 25 are still around. Following the sale of two Skoda 15Tr (Nr. 17 and 20) to Ternopil in late 2014, the Ceske Budejovice trolleybus fleet presently consists of 58 vehicles.
Nr. 21 is one of those units that was acquired for the re-opening of the Ceske Budejovice trolleybus operation in 1991. In 2005, it was partially modernized and fitted with an electronic destination board. In this picture the vehicle is seen on 24 March 2009 while running on the local line 2. Photo: J. Lehmann
